Surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside, Dolphin Cottage is only a minutes walk away from the main harbour which is alive with eateries & watering holes, shops, The Shipwreck museum and of course, Charlestown beach.
Charlestown is often associated with its role in the filming of various movies and TV shows, including Poldark, due to its well-preserved waterfront and 18th-century atmosphere. Dolphin Cottage is approached by a private driveway which leads to Polmear Farm and where allocated parking is available, including EV charger.
The cottage itself is at the end of what was the original cattle barn when it was a working farm and can sleep up to six people.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious hallway leading to the main bathroom and two bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room .At the far end of the barn is the open plan living/dining and well equipped kitchen area, exposing beautiful beamed ceilings.
From here, guests can open doors onto what can only be described as the most stunning and spacious conservatory.
A built in shrubbery area aligns the inside conservatory wall housing Mediterranean type plants and lighting giving a warm, Spanish feel.
The main dining table and a cosy sofa are also within this room and is perfect for enjoying the surrounding views of lush lawns and breathtaking views.
From the hallway, stairs lead to the master bedroom which has a newly added ensuite bathroom too. Outside the front of Dolphin Cottage is a lawn area and private garden seating with dining furniture, parasol and BBQ - perfect for alfresco dining on a Summer's evening. There are three other properties on the Polmear Farm estate as follows: Polmear Farmhouse - sleeps 10 Dolphin Cottage - sleeps 6 Turtle Cottage - sleeps 6 Starfish - sleeps 2 In total there is accommodation on this estate for 24 guests. A Welcome Basket and Folder displaying local information, tourist attractions, contact numbers etc. are available within the properties for guests to use Small charge for use of the EV charger
