Peary House is a magnificent house in Branton near Powburn, Northumberland.
This property is perfect for a family or a group of friends as it boasts a woodburning stove, original beams, decorative fireplaces and a gazebo in the garden.
Step through the door of this remarkable home, once the village grocer and general merchant shop founded by Christopher Peary in the 1800s, and you’ll instantly feel its character.
Original fireplaces and wooden floors carry the stories of its past, while every room has been thoughtfully styled to welcome families and friends.
The hallway leads you into the spacious living and dining room, where two inviting sofas set the scene for lively conversation or an evening film, while the dining table is ready for long, lingering meals.
Just beyond, the snug is a true gem of the house, as here, another pair of sofas gathers around a glowing woodburning stove, creating the perfect spot to unwind on cooler evenings, perhaps with a book from the shelves or a game of chess by the fire.
Continue through to the kitchen and diner, blending rustic charm with modern practicality, equipped with everything needed to prepare home-cooked dishes to enjoy together.
A utility room and an external utility provide even more convenience with a washing machine, tumble dryer, a freezer and space for storing bikes . Upstairs, four beautifully presented bedrooms await.
The master suite features a super-king-size bed, its own dressing room, and a stylish en-suite shower room.
Two additional super-king-size rooms, which can be made up as twins if preferred, and a double room offer flexible sleeping arrangements for all, served by a sleek family bathroom with both bath and shower, as well as a convenient ground-floor cloakroom.
Outside, the enclosed rear garden invites you to dine beneath the gazebo, sit out in the courtyard, or make use of the lawned space, perfect for soaking up the peaceful surroundings.
