“AMAZING” best describes this new and magnificent ultra-chic 3-bedroom, 3-bath family vacation home perched on a hilltop with unbelievable mountain views! Beginning with Shou Sugi Ban siding, this architect-designed cabin is 21st Century all the way. This mod home features a fantastic floorplan with opposing bedrooms in the main part of the house…each with its own ensuite bath, for the ultimate in privacy and functionality, plus an additional main suite bedroom that is accessed from behind the cabin. This bedroom exudes privacy and features its own lounging area, a wet bar with a refrigerator, 1-full sized bed, and an ensuite tiled ¾-bath with upscale countertops and fixtures that lend a cabin-in-the-woods, yet luxurious feel. This cabin is perfectly set up for three couples! Upon entering the main part of the house, you’ll be delighted by the plank-style flooring and birch and Maplewood paneling throughout.
The galley-style kitchen has many hidden features, including a stealth Miele refrigerator/freezer and drawer-style dishwasher.
The stealth induction range blends seamlessly under Dekton countertops (spoiler alert: the range is located right under the fan hood!), a built-in Miele oven, an Insta Hot water dispenser, and a combined pantry and laundry cubby featuring a large capacity stack washer and dryer.
Inspired by the mountain views offered from the kitchen window, it’s an absolute culinary delight! Stepping into the large open living /dining room area, you’ll discover floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking southwesterly views of the North Cascades.
There’s also a dining table with seating for four and a large and comfy couch for taking in nature’s splendor…all accompanied by a modern Morse wood-burning fireplace (firewood provided). Stepping out of the living room and into the west wing bedroom reveals 1-queen-sized bed and an ensuite split ¾-bath, replete with a tiled rain shower.

A heat pump unit provides both heat and air conditioning throughout, while a backup generator supplies ample power during infrequent power outages.

There’s no wimpy WIFI here…this cabin is equipped with Starlink (speeds up to 120 GBPS) for endless streaming, zoom calls, or just keeping up with friends and family. The addition of an outdoor sauna is a work-of-art onto itself. With room for six and a southwesterly exposure, not too many saunas feature fantastic mountain views while enjoying the experience that only a sauna can provide. Adjacent to the sauna is an old-fashioned yet modern outdoor wood-fired soaker tub* (see details below). Oh, and did we mention the view? My oh my! This cabin truly has it all…and then some! Don’t forget Fido, this pet-friendly (2-pet maximum – NO exceptions) and monitored vacation property will comfortably sleep up to 6-persons (ENFORCED Maximum Occupancy!). *This cabin is equipped with a wood fired hot (soaker) tub. This is quite unlike an ordinary hot tub. First; it is wood fired and there are no jets (or electricity). Second; it will be filled prior to Guest arrival, but not pre-heated. Third; Guests are responsible for heating the tub via the fire box (firewood is provided). Following the instructions that are provided, it takes approximately 2.5 - 3 hours for the tub to reach optimal temperature (100 to 102 recommended by local health dept). Because it is wood fired, the temperature will continue to rise and there is no maximum temperature. The temperature can be reduced by removing the lid or adding cold water.
Guests will want to plan ahead accordingly. The Mount Baker Recreation Area is a year-round playground, offering a plethora of activities for all seasons! SUMMER Guests can immerse themselves in great hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, backpacking, freshwater fishing (lake and river), small game hunting, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and nature viewing.
WINTER Guests can indulge in spectacular downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and sledding.
Don't forget your camera...the photography opportunities are unsurpassed year-round!
