In the immediate vicinity if the beach doesn't captivate you all day, you can visit the unique Porthcurno Telegraph Museum to learn of the evolution of modern communication or walk up the hill to enjoy an open-air performance, or picnic with fantastic views of Pedn Vounder beach and Logan Rock at the famous Minack Theatre, which also has a Cliffside cafe.
Situated in the far west, you are only a short drive from Land’s End and the equally beautiful Sennen Cove.
Penzance is just 10 miles distant with a larger range of shops and eateries, along with the iconic St Michael’s Mount.
Perfectly located for a romantic beach retreat or a base to explore West Cornwall, Tater-du is an ideal spot for a break at any time.
Please be aware that Porthcurno is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is very, very tranquil.
The village only has the beach cafe, the village pub is no longer open and the closest is now "The Logan Rock inn" in Treen, which is about 1.8 miles by car, or via the coastal path for experienced walkers.
There's also a bus which now runs from Penzance, and stops on other side of the road outside the apartment.

The house sleeps two people and has one double bedroom and a shower room. The apartment has an open plan living area with galley kitchen area and breakfast bar. The property has a small decked balcony with table and chairs. Located just a short walk from the beach and the Porthcurno Telegraph museum, Tater-du is an excellent holiday home at any time of year. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. This property has a good house keeping bond of 150GBP. Please note: This property does not except check in on Sundays. Porthcurno is very tranquil but the road can get busy during peak times and Minack performances.We would suggest that you bring food and drink on arrival, because the closest store is approx 5 miles away in St Buryan, there's also a farm shop selling Cornish produce but both of these are normal opening hours and the closest stores with extended opening times are in Penzance.
