The Boat House in Horning on the River Bure is ideal for families or couples.
It is set back at the end of a long dyke, giving you extra tranquillity whilst preserving views over the marshland in front of you from the beautiful balcony and lounge on the first floor.
The boat house sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, all on the first floor. A long riverside garden leads to a summer house at the end if you felt the need to sit closer to the water and watch the boats meander on by, perhaps with a glass of wine in hand.
Most weekends there are sailing races to watch close up. Watching the wonderful Broads wildlife from the balcony will be a must, the house even has a Heron who visits most days.
The dyke area is perfect for those wishing to hire a dayboat with their holiday or bring your own canoes and Kayaks (Broads Toll chargeable), with plenty of mooring space available.
Fishermen have plenty of river frontage and the dyke to fish from, the summer house provides secure storage for fishing equipment and a fridge has also been provided downstairs in the house for bait. With stairs up to the first floor and no living accommodation on the ground floor we wouldn’t recommend this property for those less able. Pets are welcome here (for a small charge). There is Wifi included free of charge in the house.
Private fishing from the garden in open season, licence is required.
Owners boat is kept in the boathouse and not available for use. The Boat House is STRICTLY a no smoking property.
No all male or all female groups. PLEASE NOTE: The owner’s boat is kept at the property and they will have access to this, occasionally going away and/or returning from the Boat House.
They will not disturb your holiday.
