About the Property
Perched on the border of England and Scotland, Pelshaven Cottage is a recently refurbished two bedroom home set in the peaceful village of Cornhill on Tweed.
Ideal for families, couples, and those seeking a quiet rural break, the cottage combines modern comfort with a relaxed countryside setting. Surrounded by open scenery and within easy reach of both the Scottish Borders and Northumberland, it offers the flexibility to enjoy active days out or simply slow down and unwind. Living Space and Bedrooms The cottage has a bright and comfortable open lounge and dining area, complete with a log burner for cosy evenings in. Soft furnishings and thoughtful styling create a welcoming space to relax after a day exploring. There are two well proportioned bedrooms.
The master bedroom features a double bed, television, and en suite shower room.
The second bedroom offers two single beds and its own television, making it ideal for children or friends sharing. The main bathroom includes both a bath and shower. The property is child and dog friendly, making it a practical choice for family stays. Kitchen and Dining The newly fitted kitchen is modern, well equipped, and designed for ease of use. Patio doors open directly onto the landscaped garden, creating a natural flow between indoor and outdoor space during warmer months. Outside, guests can enjoy a generous garden with outdoor seating and a swing seat, providing a peaceful setting for morning coffee or relaxed evenings. Location Cornhill on Tweed is a quiet and welcoming village with a local shop and a hotel offering a bar and restaurant.
Nearby Coldstream provides additional amenities including supermarkets, takeaways, a petrol station, and the Guards Museum. The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking and cycling routes, with the Cheviots, Northumberland National Park, and Kielder Forest all within reach.
The River Tweed is well known for salmon fishing, and there are golf courses nearby in Coldstream and Kelso. For history lovers, Berwick upon Tweed is just fifteen minutes away, while Etal Castle, Floors Castle, and Alnwick Castle are all popular day trips.
Holy Island of Lindisfarne can also be visited via the tidal causeway, with careful planning around tide times. Edinburgh is approximately forty five minutes by car, and Newcastle around one hour, making day trips to either city straightforward. Guest Access and Important Information Guests have full access to the entire cottage and private outdoor space. Bed linen and heating are included in your stay. This property is owned by a third-party property owner and professionally managed by Clark Anderson Properties on their behalf. Have a fantastic stay at Pelshaven Cottage
