DAMAGE DEPOSIT: You'll need to pay a refundable Damage Deposit at the base before you begin cruising which will be retained (in part or in full) when you return your boat; IF the boat or any of its equipment or inventory that has been damaged or lost, you will not have to pay more than the deposit collected.

ABOUT THE REGION:
Your boating adventure begins in Laggan, strategically located at the midpoint of Scotland’s legendary Caledonian Canal. From this peaceful Highland setting, the canal offers a strikingly different kind of journey, where dramatic landscapes replace townscapes and water links vast lochs and rugged countryside.
Cruising from Laggan gives you the choice to head north toward Inverness and the legendary waters of Loch Ness, where you can moor nearby and explore the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle, spectacularly positioned above the loch and steeped in history. Along this route, vast lochs, forested hills and wide‑open Highland scenery create a cruising experience that feels remote and timeless. Heading south instead takes you towards Fort William, set beneath the mighty peak of Ben Nevis, where you can enjoy scenic walks and discover the area’s strong whisky‑making heritage at local distilleries. Boating here is about immersion in nature, quiet exploration and experiencing Scotland from a truly unique perspective.
