Windmill cottage is a gorgeous, cosy 17th century cottage that has been beautifully refurbished.
Nestled in the heart of the village of Turville, famous for the tv series Vicar of Dibley.
In fact Windmill cottage featured in the series as Councillor Jim Trotts home. Windmill cottage is situated dead opposite the church and The vicar of Dibley cottage. The cottage is full of original beams, features and a beautiful fire place with old bread oven. Furnishings are to a high standard and have been carefully chosen with comfort and style at the foremost. There are 2 double bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs, both with king size beds.
Both have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers in each. The upstairs bedroom has a lovely view of the church and has a large bathtub in the bedroom which adds a bit of glamour and romance!! The downstairs bedroom has patio doors that open up to the garden, and views of the windmill. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you would need for dining in. Dining table and chairs. Gas hob and cooker. Large fridge/freezer. Microwave oven. Crockery, cutlery, serving dishes etc etc. The cosy sitting room is beautifully furnished with a lot of homely stylish touches. Smart TV with Sky. Large fireplace with a few logs for your use in the winter months. The outdoor space is a pretty cottage garden with roses in abundance in the summer months.
The garden boosts a stunning view of Cobstone Windmill famous in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many other films over the years. There is a Weber gas barbecue and lovely dining area for your use with stunning views of the windmill. At the front of the house there is a small garden area with a bistro table and chairs to enjoy the atmosphere of the village and church. Perfect for an early evening Gin and Tonic!! The cottage would be let for a maximum of 4 people and strictly no parties or events. With consideration given to neighbours please at all times. Check in with Keybox or by Deborah and Andrew if we’re here.
Check in 4 pm and check out 10.30 am. Pets are allowed and charged at £50 per pet, per stay. Minimum 2 nights stay.
