Venturing out for the day, discover Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, just 8 miles away, a charming seaside town known for its glowing sunrises – well worth the early morning outing. The wide beach is perfect for dog walks and sunbathing, with dolphins often visible from the shoreline. Moving north, explore Amble (14 miles), a delightful fishing village marking the start of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. Home to its distinctive Harbour Village with rows of colourful beach huts, it’s an idyllic spot for a laid-back afternoon.
