Get out on the water with your friends, family, or significant other as you enjoy a memorable ride around the scenic lake. The steam yacht operates year round, and even when it’s cold outside, you’ll feel plenty warm inside the boat. During the 2-hour tour the friendly staff will point out all the highlights and landmarks along the way.

A trip to Coniston Water isn’t complete until you’ve explored the nearby Coniston Village. The quaint lakeside village boasts charming streets lined with unique shops, pubs, and cafés. Come here to enjoy some excellent cuisine whenever you’re feeling peckish, and grab a souvenir at one of the gift shops before your trip is finished!

The area surrounding Coniston Water is one of the best spots in the Lake District for cycling. You can hire bicycles at the Coniston Boating Centre and head out on the many paved roads that wind through the countryside. Cycle around Coniston Water, which takes around 2 hours and is 14 miles in length, mostly around a single track road and boasts breathtaking scenery along the way.

Learn about the history of Coniston at the Ruskin Museum which houses a collection of information and artefacts going all the way back to the Stone Age. Set in Coniston Village, this small gem of a museum is bright, clean, and well organized. You can easily spend an hour or two browsing the memorabilia, informational displays, and artefacts. It’s a great rainy day activity!
