How Do I Find Pet-Friendly Stays?
All three platforms make it easy to filter for pet-friendly properties. Here's how to find the perfect accommodation for you and your pet:
Holidu
You can filter your search results in just a few clicks:
During the booking process:
- Start by selecting your destination, travel dates, and number of guests
- Once the search results appear, you can refine your search by applying filters
Using the pet-friendly filter:
- On the left side of the search results page, look for the "Popular filters" or "Amenities" section
- Check the box for "Pets allowed"
- Your search results will then display only accommodations that welcome pets
Booking.com
There are two easy ways to filter for pet-friendly stays:
During the booking process:
- When selecting your destination, dates, and number of guests, you will find the question in the drop-down menu of the guest selection: "Travelling with pets?"
- Select this option to see only accommodations that allow pets
Using the search filters:
- If you didn't select "Travelling with pets?" earlier, you can still apply the "Pets allowed" filter
- Simply check this box under the "Facilities" section of the filter options on the left-hand side of the search results
Airbnb
You can filter for pet-friendly listings in two simple ways:
During the booking process:
- When selecting your destination, dates, and number of guests, you'll also see an option to add the number of pets travelling with you in the drop-down menu of the guest selection
- Once selected, your search results will automatically include accommodations that allow pets
Using the search filters:
- If you didn't enter the number of pets earlier, you can still apply a filter
- Click "Filters" in the top right corner of the search page
- In the pop-up window, check the box for "Allows pets" under the "Booking options" section
- If you previously added pets during the booking process, this filter will already be applied
What Information Should I Know About Pet Policies?
Each listing clearly states whether pets are allowed, along with any specific rules and requirements. The description of each accommodation provides detailed information on the respective house rules and regulations that apply, including:
- Extra fees for pets
- Number of pets allowed
- Size restrictions
- Type of pets allowed

Do I Need to Add My Pet During Booking?
For some properties, your pet must be added during the booking process to be allowed at the accommodation. You will see the option to add your pet in the Extra Services section or during the guest details portion of checkout.
If you did not add your pet during the booking process, contact the host as soon as possible to inform them that you will be bringing a pet. This allows the host to confirm whether your pet can be accommodated and to discuss any applicable pet fees.
It is not possible to add a pet after the booking has been completed. If you attempt to add a pet after booking, you may need to cancel and rebook, which could result in cancellation charges depending on the property's cancellation policy.
