Previously, when guests requested changes to their bookings through Airbnb or Booking.com, the process required additional steps and communication channels. Now, these requests come straight to your Holidu account, offering you several key benefits:

How Does the Booking Modification Process Work?

Step 1: Receive Notification of Modification Requests

When a guest requests a booking modification, you'll be notified immediately through multiple channels:

  • Email notification
  • Push notification in the Holidu App (if enabled)

To ensure you don't miss any requests, make sure push notifications are enabled in your Holidu App settings.

Step 2: View the Modification Request in Your Account

In addition to notifications, modification requests are displayed in two key locations within your Holidu account:

  • Your home page dashboard
  • Your booking overview section

You can also view these requests directly in the Holidu App for convenient access on the go.

Step 3: Review the Request Details

When you open a modification request, you'll find all the information you need to make an informed decision:

  • Duration changes (shortened or extended stays)
  • Guest count adjustments (additional or fewer guests)
  • Date modifications (different check-in or check-out dates)
  • Updated earnings based on the proposed modification

This gives you complete transparency before you decide whether to accept or reject the request.

Step 4: Accept or Reject the Request

Once you've reviewed all the details, simply click to accept or reject the modification request. It's a single-click process—no complicated forms or lengthy procedures.

After you respond, the guest is notified of your decision automatically. Updated booking details are shared with them immediately, so everyone has the most current information about their reservation.

What If You Want to Accept a Modification With a Different Price?

If a guest requests a modification and you'd like to accept it but with a price adjustment different from what the guest proposed, please reach out to Holidu's Customer Support team. They'll handle your request and ensure the modification is completed with the price terms you agree on.

The Booking Modification feature is currently available for bookings from:

  • Airbnb

We prioritized these two platforms because they represent a significant portion of your bookings and provide the most impact in reducing manual work for hosts like you.

Please note that as we implement this feature, some modification requests may still follow the traditional process through our customer support team. This is part of our gradual rollout to ensure a smooth experience for all hosts.
