Your payout is based on the nightly rate you set in your Holidu Host account, minus Holidu's commission and any applicable deductions such as discounts and VAT. Distribution channel commissions are added on top of your price, so guests pay them and they do not reduce your payout.

How is your payout calculated?

Your payout is calculated in the following order:

1. Your set price: the nightly rate configured in your Holidu Host account.
2. Discounts: any discounts you set up, such as 10% off stays of 7 nights or more, are deducted from your set price.
3. Holidu commission: Holidu's commission, such as 6%, is deducted from your base price.
4. VAT: if applicable, VAT is deducted from your earnings.

Example calculation

• Nightly rate set by you: €350
• Stay duration: 2 nights
• Discount of 10%: new nightly rate of €315
• Earnings before deductions: €315 x 2 = €630
• Holidu commission (6%): -€37.80
• Final payout: €592.20 (this example assumes no VAT applies)

Why was my payout lower than expected?

Holidu uses a balance system to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth transactions. If we have already paid an amount and the booking changes or is cancelled free of charge, we deduct that amount from your next payout instead of requesting a deposit.
