Configuring amenities on your Holidu property is simple and takes just a few clicks. This guide will show you exactly where to find the amenities section and explain which amenities guests ask about most before booking.
How to configure amenities on your property
Follow these steps to update your property amenities:
- Log in to your Holidu account
- Select the property you wish to modify
- Scroll down and click on "Amenities"
- Activate or deactivate any amenities by selecting or unselecting them
- Changes are saved automatically in our system
Please note: It can take up to 24 hours for your amenity changes to update across all the platforms where your listing is distributed.
After updating your amenities, make sure to review and update your property description to reflect any changes.
Top amenities guests ask about before booking
Guests often want specific details about certain amenities to make an informed booking decision. Here are the amenities our Customer Service team receives the most questions about:
- Wi-Fi – Is the Wi-Fi suitable for video calls and remote working?
- Pets – Do you allow pets? If yes, specify the accepted number or type of pet
- Baby equipment – Are baby cots and high chairs available? How many? Is there an extra fee?
- Bicycle or motorbike storage – How many spaces? Is storage inside, outside, or sheltered?
- Early check-in and late check-out – Is there an extra charge for these services?
- Air conditioning – Which rooms have A/C? Please note: air conditioning can only be configured if available throughout the entire property
- Parking – Is it at your property or nearby? Are spaces shared or reserved for guests?
- Property access – Is there step-free access? Is the interior suitable for people with reduced mobility? Is there a lift?
- Heated pool – Is it heated year-round? Is there an extra charge?
- Shared pool – How many other guests will share the pool?
Tips for offering amenities
We recommend providing amenities at your property for free whenever possible. Amenities with additional fees can discourage potential guests from booking.
If an amenity cannot be configured in the system, you can include details about it in your property description text. This ensures guests have complete information before they book.
Remember: any amenity you configure must be legally available for free and at all times, unless a fee is configurable (such as high chairs, baby cots, towels, or bed linen). Optional add-on services with fees cannot be configured as amenities and won't be filterable on booking platforms.
Important: keeping your listing accurate
It is extremely important that your amenity configuration on Holidu stays up-to-date. Any discrepancies between what you configure and what guests actually receive could result in booking cancellations or compensation claims.
If you make changes that might negatively affect existing bookings, always inform affected guests in writing and get their written confirmation that they still want to stay. If they refuse to stay with the new configuration, you must offer them free cancellation since you cannot provide what they booked. You may also offer a discount to keep the booking.
