Holidu Professional Photography Service

Holidu offers a free professional photography service available in Focus Regions. This service provides expertly taken photos tailored to your property and market.

Important Information About Professional Photography

Availability: The professional photography service is only available in Focus Regions. In certain areas, the service may not be available. Availability depends on photographer coverage in the specific geographic area. Not all properties are automatically eligible.

How Professional Photos Work:

• Photos taken by Holidu professionals are not reviewed before they go live on the listing. Our photography team selects and orders them based on channel performance data.
• All hosts, including those with professional Holidu photos, can fully manage their galleries.
• Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you delete one by mistake, you can contact support to restore it.
• Professional photos are the property of Holidu and are not available for purchase by hosts.

Uploading Your Own Photos

If you're uploading your own photos or want to supplement professional photos, follow these best practices to maximize their effectiveness:

Photo Quality Guidelines

• The first photo in the gallery is used as the main display image across partner channels, so choose this carefully.
• Gallery order affects booking performance. Use high-quality, well-lit photos for your cover shot and first few images.
• Use good lighting to capture the best shots of your property.
• Use wide angles to capture the full scope of your property and rooms.
• Upload at least 10 photos to give potential guests a comprehensive view of your property.
• Videos are not supported. Images only.
• Photos must be in landscape orientation.

Technical Requirements

• Supported formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, and AVIF, within the platform's file-size limits.
• Minimum resolution: 1,024 × 768 pixels.
• Recommended resolution: 2,000 pixels on the long edge for high-quality images.

How to Add, Delete, and Reorder Your Gallery

Managing your property photos is straightforward. Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
2. Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
3. To add new photos, click Add Photo and upload images from your device. In the Holidu app, allow Holidu to access images from your phone first.
4. To delete a photo, click it and select Delete, then confirm. Holidu keeps a backup of all photos, so deleted images can be restored on request.
5. To reorder, click and hold a photo, drag it to the position you want, and drop it.
6. Click Save changes after any edit so your updates take effect.

Tips for Maximizing Photo Impact

• Start with your best photo as the cover image, as this is what most potential guests see first.
• Include a variety of room types: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Highlight amenities and special features that differentiate your property.

• Ensure all photos are clean, clutter-free, and professionally presented.
• Update your photos seasonally if your property has outdoor areas or unique seasonal appeal.
