How do I update or edit my listing's information?

You can update most of your listing details yourself, directly from your Holidu account on the website or in the Holidu Host app. This guide explains which information you can edit independently and best practices for keeping your listing current and appealing to guests.

Listing information you can edit independently

Pricing

Manage all pricing-related details for your property:

  • Seasons & pricing: Set your nightly and weekend prices, including minimum stay requirements, check-in and check-out days, and availability across different seasons.
  • Guest discounts: Create discounts to incentivize longer stays or early bookings.
  • Additional charges: Update cleaning fees, tourism fees, security deposits, and extra guest charges per night.

General information

Update core details about your property:

  • Property details: Change your property type and the number of guests it can accommodate, in line with your local license requirements.
  • Check-in & check-out times: Customize your property's check-in and check-out hours. These times indicate when you guarantee someone will be present or a lockbox will be available to welcome guests free of charge.
  • Advance notice: Set the minimum amount of time guests must book in advance. Options range from "Same day by 3 p.m." to "Up to 3 days before" check-in.

Amenities

Add or update the amenities available at your property, including Wi-Fi, pool, bed linens, towels, pet access, appliances, and more. When marking an amenity as available, it must be offered at all times. You can add a cost where the field allows it; otherwise, the amenity is offered free to guests. For costs that depend on specific requests, mention them in your property description without exact amounts, as distribution channels don't allow those details.

Sleeping arrangements

Bedrooms: Modify the number of bedrooms and beds available at your property. When configuring bedrooms, consider local regulations such as requirements for an enclosed room, the presence of a window, and minimum area requirements.

Arrival information

Check-in details: Update who is responsible for check-in at your property. Remember to notify any guests with existing bookings about these changes.

Cancellation policies

Adjust your cancellation policy for new bookings. Changes apply only to future bookings, not to reservations already made. Review your policy regularly to ensure it reflects your property's needs.

Collaborators

Add a collaborator to help you manage your listing by granting them access to your Holidu account. This is useful if you need assistance with day-to-day management.

Calendar sync and iCal

If your property is listed on other booking channels, sync your calendars to prevent double bookings and keep your availability accurate across all platforms.

Contact information

Update your contact details as needed. If you change your contact information and the same person handles check-in, also update the "Guest arrival information" section. Notify any guests with existing bookings about contact detail changes.

Description

Keep your property description accurate and up-to-date. Whenever you update a service or detail, refresh the description to match. You can edit your description at any time. For step-by-step guidance, see Generating your property description.

Photo management

You have full control over your photo gallery, including both your own photos and those taken by Holidu's professional photographers. Learn more by visiting How to manage your photos.

Address

You can update your property address if needed. For detailed instructions, see How to edit your address.

Important considerations

  • Changes to descriptions, amenities, and photos are visible to guests after review or immediately, depending on the field type.
  • Some major updates, such as prices or policies, may impact your search ranking or guest experience.
  • Photo management now provides hosts with self-service control of their property photos, including images from Holidu's professional photography service.
  • Always check the guest-facing preview to confirm that your information is accurate and displays correctly.

Best practices for maintaining your listing

  • Keep your calendar, photos, amenities, and contact details up to date to support more bookings and deliver a better guest experience.
  • Use detailed, accurate property and room descriptions to set the right expectations for incoming guests.
  • Review your pricing, policies, and charges regularly, especially before high and low seasons.
  • Update your listing description whenever you add, remove, or change services or amenities.
  • Ensure your address is correct to help guests find your property easily.
