How to Close a Duplicated Property Listing on Booking.com
If you have a duplicated property listing on Booking.com, you can close it by removing all room types or units from the property. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step directly from the Booking.com Extranet.
Before You Start
Make sure you are removing the duplicate listing — not your active property. Double-check that you have identified the correct property before proceeding with deletion.
Step-by-Step: Removing a Duplicated Property
Step 1: Log in to the Booking.com Extranet
Go to admin.booking.com and log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Select the Duplicate Property and Navigate to Room Details
From the top menu, select the Property tab, choose the property you want to close, then select Room details (this may also appear as Property layout depending on your account view).
Step 3: Find the Room or Unit to Remove
In the list of room types, locate the room or unit you want to delete.
Step 4: Delete the Room or Unit
Select the option to delete the room or unit and confirm the deletion. Once confirmed, the room or unit will be removed from your property page.
Repeat this step for all remaining room types until the property has no active units.
Step 5: Retry Publishing
If you are using a distribution channel like Holidu, go back to the Distribution channel tab of your property. In the error message displayed on the Booking.com channel, click on the link that allows you to retry publishing (look for "click here"). It will take a few minutes for your property to be published on Booking.com.
Important: Upcoming Reservations
If there are upcoming reservations linked to a room or unit, the Delete option will not be available — you will only see Edit or Upload photos.
You cannot permanently delete a room or unit until all upcoming reservations have been fulfilled and guests have checked out. Wait until after these reservations are completed before attempting deletion again.
