How to respond to a guest review (all channels)
Step 1: Receive an email notification
Whenever a guest leaves a review on Holidu, you will receive an email notification with the review details and a link to respond. This ensures you never miss an opportunity to engage with your guests.
Step 2: Open your Holidu account
Click the "Reply to your guest" button in the email. You will be taken directly to your Holidu account, where you can write your response. This streamlined process makes it easy to reply promptly.
Step 3: Write and submit your reply
When crafting your response, keep these guidelines in mind:
- Acknowledge the guest's feedback — Thank them for their stay and appreciate them taking the time to leave a review.
- Address concerns professionally — Focus on solutions rather than disagreements, showing that you take feedback seriously.

How to leave a guest review (Airbnb and VRBO)
Submitting your review
You have two ways to leave a review for your guests:
- Watch for the email reminder you receive after a guest checks out.
- Alternatively, log in to your Holidu host account, go to Bookings, and open the specific booking.
You have up to 7 days after check-out to leave a review. If no review is submitted within this time frame, the guest will automatically receive a positive review.
What you can include in your review
- A star rating
- A written review describing your experience (Airbnb only — VRBO allows star ratings of guests only)
- Private feedback visible only to the guest
Editing your review
You have 1 hour after submitting to make changes to your review. To edit, simply return to the booking and click Edit. After this window closes, the review cannot be modified.

- Timely responses are recommended, as they demonstrate active engagement with your guests.

Yes, you can request a change of ownership so Holidu can take over your existing Booking.com listing and reviews. However, a number of conditions must be met. To check whether you are eligible, please use our support assistant for assistance.
Can I send my reviews from my personal Booking.com listing to Holidu?
If you meet the eligibility criteria for a change of ownership, all reviews will be transferred into your Holidu/Booking.com listing.
Airbnb
Can I transfer my listing and reviews to Holidu?
No, you will need to close your listing and open it again as new via Holidu. This means you will start gathering reviews through the new listing Holidu creates for you on Airbnb.
Can I send my reviews from my personal Airbnb listing to Holidu?
No, review transfers are not available for Airbnb. However, if you have a high number of reviews on your personal Airbnb listing, we can offer you a temporary commission discount as an incentive to close it and reopen via Holidu. Please use our support assistant if you would like to explore this option.
VRBO
Can I transfer my listing and reviews to Holidu?
Not for the full listing, but yes for the reviews. To transfer your reviews, please use our support assistant for guidance.
Can I send my reviews from my personal VRBO listing to Holidu?
Yes — as long as you close your VRBO listing, we can request that the historical reviews be transferred into the new listing Holidu creates, so you maintain your visibility and rating.
Check24 and HomeToGo
Can I transfer my listing and reviews to Holidu?
No, transfers are not available for these platforms. You will not be able to send reviews from your personal listings on Check24 or HomeToGo to Holidu.
