Hello, I'm Dario, your local Holidu host in beautiful Italy. If you're planning your next holiday, I'd love to introduce you to some of the region's hidden gems and must-see spots. From March to September, especially from mid-April to the end of June, and in September, you can enjoy the lovely weather and relaxed beaches without the hustle of tourist crowds.

The area is excellent for activities like beach outings, excursions, water sports such as surfing and snorkelling, and exploring historical sites. Savona, where I host, is part of the Whale Sanctuary Pelagos, and you might find the guided marine excursions for whale watching utterly fascinating.

One of my favourite spots is the Priamar Fortress, where you can immerse yourself in history while enjoying panoramic views of the historic centre and the sea. If you're into unique museums, don't miss the All about Apple Museum, which is the most comprehensive outside of the USA.

Hungry after sightseeing? Let me guide you to some dining experiences. At L'approdo del Bacicin, enjoy authentic Ligurian marine cuisine with a view of the Savona Dock. For a more elegant evening, A Spurcacciun-a at the Mare Hotel serves creative seafood dishes perfect for special occasions. If you're in the mood for local flavours, La Faraccia in Quiliano serves delicious farinata, a chickpea-based speciality you can only find in and around Savona. And for a relaxed atmosphere with excellent pizza, head to Da Diego in Albisola Marina, where their mixed fried seafood is a must-try.

If you're here during the summer, the Savona Downtown Music Festival is a treat with concerts and performances during the Thursday night white nights in July. In August, the Finale Medieval turns Finalborgo into a 1400s village complete with jesters, fire-eaters, and knightly duels, an experience not to be missed!

For memorable souvenirs, pick up unique pieces of Albissola ceramics or taste the soft, fragrant Sassello Amaretti. You can't leave without trying products made from the iconic Chinotto of Savona at Besio, an authentic symbol of the city.

Finally, thanks to the excellent bus routes, reaching other seaside towns is hassle-free, letting you explore more of Italy without worrying about transportation.
