The night of San Juan on the 23rd of June, marks the beginning of summer. This is a popular festival celebrated throughout Spain. Those destinations with a beach celebrate this festival on it. The famous music festival, FIB (Festival Internacional de Benicassim) has given the town international fame since 1995. People from all over flock into town to enjoy several days of live music and beach parties in July. Indie and alternative music with diverse lineups and some of the greatest artists including The Killers, Rita Ora, Kings of Leon and Lana del Rey. During the day you can have some great time at the beach until the music kicks off in the evening.

A valuable enclave, from the botanical point of view, The Desert of les Palmes is a protected area located on the outskirts of Benicasim and it belongs to five different boroughs: Benicassim, Cabanes, La Pobla Tornesa, Borriol and Castellón de la Plana. From the highest peaks, the Mola del Morico and the Bartolo you can enjoy stunning views of the coastline. The climate of the park is clearly Mediterranean, but its proximity to the sea gives special climatic features and allows the formation of more humid microclimates. Here you can find several ruins and buildings of great interest such as the castle of Miravet, Montornes and the castle Viejo, as well as the hermitage of Les Santes and the Magdalena.
