Why Account Verification Matters

Verifying your account as a private host builds trust with guests and ensures compliance with payment processing requirements. This process confirms your identity and validates your banking information, allowing you to receive payouts seamlessly.

Important Note

Account verification can only be completed by the host (the primary account holder in Holidu). Make sure you have direct access to your account before beginning this process.

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Before you begin the verification process, gather the following documents. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or official digital downloads of original documents will be accepted.

• Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
• Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., a bank statement or deposit slip)
• If you are a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, your registration number

Step 2: Start the Verification Process

To begin verifying your account:

1. Log in to your Holidu account
2. Navigate to the Account tab
3. Click on Validate to begin the process
4. If prompted, accept the new agreement to continue (this will not change your pricing)

Step 3: Verify Your Personal Information

Complete your personal details verification:

1. Click on Personal Details
2. Review the information that is pre-filled from your Holidu account
3. If corrections are needed, click Edit to update any information
4. Select whether your bank account is in your personal name or registered under your sole proprietorship (freelancer, sole trader, etc.)
5. If applicable, provide your business registration number and address
6. Click Next to continue

Step 4: Enter Your Address

Add or confirm your residential address:

1. Enter your address in the search field
2. Allow the details to autofill
3. Ensure the address matches exactly what appears on your ID document
4. If your billing address differs from your personal address, update it to match your ID
5. Click Next to proceed

Step 5: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document

Choose one of the two verification methods available:

Instant Verification (Recommended)

1. Select the country that issued your ID
2. Choose your document type (passport, driving license, or ID card)
3. Confirm that your document matches the personal information you have entered
4. Scan the QR code or obtain the link via SMS on your phone
5. Take clear photos of both sides of your document
6. Submit for immediate verification

Manual Verification

1. Select your document type
2. Upload clear, high-quality photos of your document from your computer
3. Click Next to submit
4. Allow up to 72 hours for verification to complete

Step 6: Verify Your Payout Details

Confirm your banking information for receiving payouts:

1. Ensure your bank account name matches the name you provided in the previous step
2. Select one of the following verification options:

Instant Verification

1. Select your online banking provider
2. Log in to your bank account through Tink (our trusted verification partner)
3. Your login information is never stored and is only used for verification purposes

Manual Verification

1. Enter your complete bank details
2. Upload a recent bank document from the last 12 months
3. Ensure the document clearly shows your name, IBAN, and (for non-EU residents) the bank location
4. Click Next to submit
5. Allow up to 72 hours for verification

Step 7: Provide Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Details (If Applicable)

If you operate as a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide the following information:

• Your business legal name (as it appears on official registration documents)
• Your registration number (or indicate if you do not have one)
• Your business address (ensuring it matches your legal address)

Step 8: Complete Your Verification

Monitor the completion of your verification:

• If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update immediately
• If you used Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours for processing
• Track the status of your verification in your Holidu account
• Your status will change from In Review to Complete once finished
