France2 years hosting with Holidu

I'm Martine, your local Holidu host, and I'm excited to share my passion for France with you. Our lovely holiday home is perfect for enjoying the beautiful landscapes here, whether you fancy a hiking adventure or a relaxing family-friendly stay. I recommend visiting during the spring or autumn. The colours and ambiance are stunning, offering a wonderful sense of well-being. Summer is also fantastic because the area remains cool thanks to our altitude and the surrounding woods and meadows. Exploring the region, you shouldn't miss the picturesque rocks at le Sidobre, the UNESCO-listed city of Albi, or the numerous lakes in the Monts de Lacaune. Among my favourite dining spots is the Bistrot des Saveurs in Castres, renowned for its excellent wine list. If you are here during special events, the Jazz Festival in Burlats and the Pause Guitare Festival in Albi are must-sees. Look out for the vibrant local markets, offering a true taste of regional life.

  • The charming le Sidobre and its unique rock formations.
  • The UNESCO-listed city of Albi.
  • The tranquil lakes of the Monts de Lacaune.
  • Bistrot des Saveurs in Castres, where the wine list is exceptional.
  • Jazz Festival in Burlats.
  • Pause Guitare Festival in Albi.

For souvenirs, I recommend indulging in local delicacies like Gaillac wine, Monts de Lacaune charcuterie, and the renowned pink garlic of Lautrec. My advice? The Tarn region offers a wide range of activities, and I assure you there's no chance of boredom. You'll also be warmly welcomed, making your stay unforgettable.

Best travel time:Spring and autumn are lovely seasons, with beautiful colours and an atmosphere where nature offers well-being and rest, while summer stays cool thanks to the 600m altitude and the surrounding woods and meadows.
I recommend France for
  • Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Historic sites
  • Wellness (spa, thermal baths, etc.)
  • Family-friendly stay
