Log Cabins & Lodges in Weston-Super-Mare

This wonderful spa town is in North Somerset and well known as a traditional spot, with a typical seaside vibe since Victorian times, with many attractions, of course, beaches are the most famous. Here, you will find some of the best beaches in the world; Brean beach is the longest of Europe with a great space where your kids will enjoy running or exploring the rock pools. Another attraction is Brean down, a natural pier that stretches out into the Bristol Channel where you can walk and discover its hidden history.

Brean beach is often just under 2 miles away and also the Brean Down National Trust is close, so you have the great opportunity to walk and admire the extraordinary views of the place. Brean Down has 97 metres high. It’s so impressive to see the best views of the Bristol Channel, South Wales and Weston Super Mare. Also, you will find dramatic cliffs, wildlife and a great variety of birds, plants and butterflies whilst on route. If you are planning to visit it the best time is summer. It’s the site most visited by walkers, picnickers, dog walkers and families. By the way, a short walk around Brean Down takes about an hour. Get ready to explore it!

Brean beach or Brean sands is a very popular beach by its walkers, dog walkers and the amazing sports like jet skiing, kite surfing, sailing and windsurfing. It’s easy to access it and there are many parking nearby. Also, you will find toilets and drinking water. Another typical attraction in this beach is to ride a horse. The seven miles of the beach and the sands provides an ideal location for enjoying it

Brean splash water park is located at Brean Leisure Park in Brean sands, Somerset, and it’s opened all the year. Like an unbeliever fact, it has been a pool for 30 years in this zone. So, over the years, they have been modernizing their attractions; the newest include two indoor slides, a baby pool and modern gym with a sauna and steam room. This fantastic park is for all ages, groups, schools, birthday parties and of course, its famous swim school.

Burnham on sea is a town just at 11.3 miles from Weston-Super-Mare and has many attractive things to offer you. One of them is Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park with 42 acres, lakes and home to many types of wildlife, including mallard ducks, grey herons, mute swans and more, is the best place to relax, or fish, the waters are teeming with carp and bream and are good fishing grounds. Also, the park provides short walks around the park, or long walks leads along the river to the southern end of Burnham’s sea front.

In Milton nearby to Weston-Super-Mare, you will find the Gulliver’s land theme park resort where your kids (from 2 to 13 years) will enjoy with many attractions, activities and funny events. One of the favourites is Gulliver’s travels that consist of following in Gulliver's footsteps and learning about his adventures. The splash zone is a fantastic activity where the whole family can enjoy a splashing good time with perfect temperature water.

There are two local products well known in this zone. Cheddar Cheese and Cider. Other famous cheeses are: Muddlewell and Stawley and the best cider can be expected at Roger Wilkins’s cider farm in Mudgley and Sheppy’s Cider Farm in Taunton, but it’s also important to mention the preference for fine meats like Exmoor lamb and even eels. Don’t forget to taste the traditional Somerset apple cake.

Summer is the best season in Somerset and each November, the spectacular Carnivals arrive in the towns and cities of the county. Some of them are: Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Glastonbury, North Petherton, Shepton Mallet, Wells, and Weston-Super-Mare and this is the reason to consider them as the largest illuminated procession in the world. Also, you will see grand fireworks displays, street food and many shops open.

The Weston-Super-Mare is celebrated each year at the beginning of May, and it’s considered as a great event because is the best opportunity for all new talents' music of different ages to perform their skills, get an expert’s feedback or win an award. The categories are: solos, duets, ensembles, adults and school ensembles for Wind, Brass, Strings, Piano and Voice as well as Speech and Drama categories.

If you are an aviation buff, you will enjoy it. This amazing museum has the largest dedicated Rotorcraft Collection in the world, with a spectacular exhibition of 80 helicopters. Two of them belonged to the Queen’s Royal Flight helicopters; also you will see the famous history of the Weston-super-Mare’s aviation. Besides, there are many activities for your kids, an interactive zone, film theatre and more families ‘attractions.
