3. Visit the Timanfaya

If you book a villa in Matagorda, a visit to the Timanfaya National Park is a unique and must-see experience on the island. The incredible volcanic landscape covers part of Lanzarote and it was created by the continuous volcanic eruptions for about 6 years in the early 1700s. Get on the bus that takes you around the park on the “Volcano Route”, have a bite at El Diablo restaurant and experience the Fire Mountains geothermal anomalies.

4. A sea trek diving

Have you ever been underwater? If you haven’t tried diving before, there is a new and different diving system. These innovative helmets allow beginners to go 3 or 4 metres underwater for half an hour or an hour. Feel what it’s like to be breathing covered by water and experience a zero gravity sensation as if you were on the moon! Maybe this will awaken your curiosity for diving.

7. Indulge in Canary flavours

You will have plenty of options for lunch and dinner. Enjoy the Canary cuisine and indulge in some of the best recipes on the island. Have some traditional “Papas arrugas and green mojo” which are literally wrinkled potatoes. Try some limpets, grilled octopus, goat meat and the traditional gofio, a toasted flour that gives food a unique flavour and is used in many desserts.
