Nikola Basic is the Croatian architect who designed the Sea Organ. This structure is made of white stone from the island of Brac. The steps have different holes where the water comes in and out creating the sounds of the organ. This has become one of the preferred spots for people to take a dip while waiting for the sun to go down in the horizon. Just next to the Sea Organ, there is another magnificent contemporary jewel known asThe Greeting to the Sun or Monument to the Sun designed by the Croatian architect, Nikola Basic. These glass plates are at the same level as the stone-paved promenade. Underneath the glass there are photovoltaic solar modules that slowly turn on as the light of day starts to fade. The colourful patterns are a unique show to watch as the sun sets in the distance. The meaning of this art piece is the communication between light and nature as the Sea Organ keeps playing its notes next to it.

The most touristic area is Dražica beach, very close to the city. But less than 20 minutes by car there are also the Kraljičina plaža and Zaton Beach.
