Les Deux Alpes was the second winter sports resort to be created in France, after Chamonix. It owes its name to its location between the southern and northern Alps and depends on the municipality of Mont de Lans in Isère. Thanks to its 3,600-metre high glacier, it enjoys optimal snow conditions and hosts an exceptional freestyle area. In summer, the possibilities for activities are also very diverse. By car, you can reach Les Deux Alpes by Grenoble or Briançon. From Grenoble, take the motorway exit n°8 Briançon Vizille then continue on the RD1091 direction Briançon and on the D213. From Briançon, take the RD1091 towards Grenoble and the D213. If you come by plane, the nearest airports are Grenoble-Isère (120 km), Lyon Saint-Exupéry (160 km) and Geneva (220 km). Finally, by train, you will arrive at Grenoble station, which is 70 kilometres from the station, where you can take a taxi or a car with driver from the company Aéroports Gares Express to reach your accommodation.
