Woodchester Park is a National Trust housing the unfinished Victorian mansion estate. Its masterfully landscaped valley offers hectares of woodland hiking trails and a children’s play trail with rope swings, climbing frames, and much more. Admire the quaint buildings including an icehouse, cottages, and a 3.5-mile circular walk around the lakeside boathouse.

Stroud Brewery Bar features monthly tours of the brewery where you can have a first-hand experience in the brewing process along with select tastes of their fine organic beers. Wednesday through Sunday delicious pizza accompanies live music in the Kingfisher Business Park to top off your day.

Stroud has many delicious choices for food, but Birch is at the top for awesome eats like fish soup and lemon tart for dessert. The New Lawn, housed at Forest Green Rovers stadium, serves exclusively vegan selections like vegan pizza and sweet potato fries but only on match days. And that’s just the beginning.

The Stroud Mansion houses the Museum of Stratford Park where over 4000 items are on display including dinosaur bones, the first lawnmower, Bronze age jewellery, a Baughan motorcycle, and much more! The estate’s art gallery includes beautiful landscape paintings of the Five Valleys and their mills from the Georgian and Victorian periods.

The Subscription Rooms, built in 1833, were housed in a single edifice but with multiple owners via a subscription, hence the name. It still houses the Five Valleys’ art scene including rock bands on tour, pop, classical ensembles, plays and more in the Ballroom. In 1962, The Beatles performed here. The George Room offers exhibits of photography and local artists.
