1. Walk the Rhos-on-Sea promenade

   The promenade is the heart of village life, running from the little harbour at Rhos Point east towards Colwyn Bay and west to Penrhyn Bay. It is flat, wide and open to the sea the whole way, which makes it a favourite with families, cyclists and dog owners. Stop for a coffee at one of the seafront cafes, watch the boats on the slipway, and time your walk for the evening when the light falls across the bay towards the Great Orme.

2. Visit St Trillo’s Chapel

   Set into the sea wall on the promenade, St Trillo’s Chapel is a tiny stone building thought to date in part from the sixth century and often described as the smallest chapel in Britain. Inside there is space for six people, a simple altar and a holy well beneath it, still fed by fresh water. It takes minutes to see but stays with you, and it explains the village’s Welsh name, Llandrillo-yn-Rhos, the church of Trillo on the headland.
