Llandudno offers you a place where you can find various activities for families or groups, this is the emblematic Great Orme. You can start with a stroll through the cute Happy Valley with lush greenery and large lawn carpets. And then take the cable car, visit the nature reserve and reach the top to enjoy a spectacle of views of Llandudno Bay and finish the tour exploring the prehistoric copper mine in the bowels of this mountain.

The beaches of Llandudno are awarded the blue flag. The most popular is North Shore, where you can take a boat ride, practice water sports, build sand castles, or walk along a beautiful promenade along the Irish Sea watching the historic Victorian buildings. On the other side is the West Shore, ideal if you want to escape to a quiet place, stroll along its shore at low tide, lie down for sunbathing or fly kites.

If you want to feel the experience of travelling on a Victorian era tram, you can take a walk and climb to the top of the Great Orme on the tramway approximately 100 years old. On your tour you will enjoy the spectacular scenery and, on the climb, we recommend you get off at Halfway Station before reaching the top to visit the interesting museum that tells the history of the tram.

If you want to get to the top of the Great Orme without using the hiking trails, you can take the scenic cable car. On your more than 1.5 miles (2.41 km) tours you will enjoy the green landscapes, the cliffs, and wildlife of the area. It’s very nice to see the wild goats typical of the place, grazing in its surroundings.

For adventurers it is fascinating to visit the caves of copper mines within the Great Orme that are approximately 4000 years old and could be the largest prehistoric mines in the world. In guided explorations you will learn how copper worked in the foundry shelter, marvel at the depths of the well (approximately 150 meters) and traverse the maze of tunnels.

Ideal for a relaxing walk savouring delicious ice cream and getting to know the food kiosks, game rooms and attractions such as the Punch and Judy puppet show that has run uninterrupted since 1860. Next to it is the beautiful promenade of Llandudno where in addition to walking you can have fun attending concerts, musical theatre, opera, or ice shows.

Five km from Llandudno, you will find the fascinating Conway castle, you can reach it by taxi, bus or train. It is an appropriate place for both adults and children where they can tour their different halls and imagine how British royalty of that time lived. Its entrance is imposing with its large towers. More spectacular are the views that can be enjoyed climbing its battlements and observing the whole city.

The gastronomy of the region is very varied and has ingredients of excellent quality produced locally. Lamb meat is the protagonist in stews, roasts, and cakes. On the other hand, being a coastal area are very popular cockles and lever which is a seaweed that is cooked as a purée and used to accompany dishes or mixed with oats to form laverbread (bread). You can't leave the area without tasting its exquisite desserts during breakfast or accompanying a tea.
