What is the Holidu Referral Programme?

The Holidu Referral Programme is a handy way to increase your Holidu bookings and earnings — while helping us at the same time. It’s incredibly simple: you encourage a landlord to list their property on Holidu, and we’ll give you a cash bonus. The more landlords you refer, the bigger the bonuses get.

This holiday rental referral programme is easy to use, and anyone can sign up for it. All you need is contact with a landlord. It’s a win-win-win: Holidu grows even bigger as a holiday rental platform, thus attracting more guests, and you get some money! Your friend also gets a new place to advertise their holiday home and attract fresh guests.

How to refer friends to Holidu

There’s a simple, easy way to benefit from the Referral Programme. You just need two things: a Holidu account and a friend who wants to rent their house for holidays and short stays.

Firstly, log into your Holidu account. On your profile, click on the “more” button and find the heading “Referral Programme”. Underneath it, you’ll see a text box containing your unique referral code. Click “share” to copy the text.

You can then send your link to your friends any way you please — via email, on social media, or through any messaging app.

Bonuses in the Holidu Referral Programme

Bonuses in the Referral Programme start when your friend’s property has been published on Holidu. Best of all, you don’t need to wait for someone to actually rent their holiday apartment — once the listing is up, your reward will be waiting for you.

The more people who join Holidu from your referral link, the better it gets for you. Here are the special bonuses you can receive:

  • A minimum of €75 for every property you refer that gets published on Holidu
  • €100 extra for three referrals within a single quarter
  • €1000 extra for ten referrals within a single quarter

There’s no need for you to do anything special to get the bonus — the money will automatically be transferred to the bank account linked to your Holidu account.

In addition to this, your friends benefit too! They get 50% off their activation fee when they join Holidu.

Can you refer friends to Holidu if you’re not a holiday rental owner?

Yes. The Holidu Referral Programme allows people to earn money from holiday rentals, even if they don’t have a property of their own.

That being said, there’s an extra special bonus for holiday home owners who refer people to Holidu. When you refer multiple hosts to the platform, we will show our appreciation by giving your property a boost. We’ll share it on our Instagram and Facebook accounts, which can help increase your holiday rental bookings. That’s some great extra publicity — and at no additional cost to you!

Making the most of the Holidu Referral Programme

As you can now see, this special programme for holiday rental landlords can be a fantastic boost for your business. You can increase bookings on Holidu and get some extra cash without spending any money.

You might be wondering how you can encourage other holiday home owners to join Holidu. Here are some tried and tested methods that can help the Holidu Referral Programme really work for you:

1. Make it personal

We’ve all seen people spamming referral links on various social media platforms — and most of us have learned to ignore them. Keep sharing the same link over and over again, and you may end up blocked. That’s because people don’t respond well to what looks like mass spam.

Instead, focus on the personal side of things. If Holidu has worked well for you, then tell your friends about that. Explain the benefits of using Holidu as a platform. If you’re speaking with someone in person, you could even show them how Holidu works from your end. Open up your dashboard to let them see the simple, user-friendly interface. Speaking with someone personally makes a lot more sense than just mindlessly sharing a link.

2. Discuss the advantages of Holidu

Think about why you, as a holiday property landlord, use Holidu. Is it for the easy interface or controls? Is it because you want access to the continental European market? Do you find it to be a more cost-effective tool than other holiday rental platforms?

Whatever the reason — or reasons — why you love Holidu, you can rest assured that other holiday rental owners will understand them. When you’re sharing your referral link, highlight those reasons. Explain what makes Holidu special and other landlords will appreciate it.

3. Explain how they’ll benefit

Remember, the Referral Programme isn’t just about you getting a bonus — it will also help your friends. If you share your link without explaining that, then people may pass on it. They might even think you’re just trying to get some extra money in the bank.

Once a landlord knows that they’ll get 50% off their activation fee, they may be more inclined to sign up – so make sure that you highlight this benefit when you’re sharing your link!

4. Use social media

Not everyone has the social media presence to pull this off, but if you fancy yourself as a bit of an influencer, you can certainly use that to your advantage. Share some stories on your Instagram, Facebook, or other social media about Holidu. Be sure to follow all the tips above — don’t make it look like a sales pitch, or people will be turned off. With some creative, well-planned content, you may find yourself attracting a lot of fresh Holidu landlords.

Of course, if you’re going to go down this path, it’s important that your social media account is tailored to the right audience. Remember, the Holidu Referral Programme is aimed at holiday rental owners, not just travellers. A social media account that focuses on general travel content may not be right, but if you’ve got an account with a following among landlords, you could be in luck.

Used wisely, the Holidu Referral Programme can really help boost your business. Keep your referral code handy — you never know when you’ll be able to whip it out and help a brand new landlord list their home on Holidu.
