1. Wander the walls of Dalt Vila

   Crowning Ibiza Town, Dalt Vila is a UNESCO World Heritage Site wrapped in 16th-century walls. Climb through its seven bastions and steep, cobbled lanes to the cathedral at the top, where the views over the harbour and out towards Formentera are spectacular. Along the way you'll pass tucked-away galleries, craft shops and restaurant terraces. Go at sunset for the softest light and the liveliest atmosphere.

   The Puig des Molins necropolis and museum protects one of the Mediterranean's most important Phoenician-Punic burial sites, whilst the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACE) showcases island and international artists.
